Miniature Dollhouse Food: Fig Slices

Figs are a favored snack in my house. I decided to scale them down and make miniature versions for doll food and craft projects. I made both purple and yellow figs. Both of these fruits can be purchased from the TinyFoodSupply Etsy shop.

Miniature Polymer Clay Peanut Brittle

So I tried the peanut brittle tutorial and ... No dice. It came out so bad. I was pretty disappointed. It kind of looks burnt ;).

My second attempt was done without the method of the tutorial. I made a ridiculous amount of tiny peanuts and cooked them. Next, I cut most of the peanuts in half and made laid them on thin layers of caramel colored polymer clay. Finally, I stacked all of the layers on top of each other and baked them. Voila! Dollhouse peanut brittle.

Polymer Clay Tutorial I Want To Try.

There are so many cool and unique polymer clay tutorials I want to try, but I can barely follow a cooking recipe when cooking real food. I just don't operate that way. I look at a picture or craft my polymer clay creations from the images in my head. My imagination helps me map out which path I'll take and how to solve any kinks or potential problems. Of course my method has a downside. Sometimes I find myself stuck on a certain logistical issue and like the rest of the world I search the web for answers. Every now and then I come across a tutorial I want to try like this little peanut brittle one. If I every get around to it, I'll post the pictures of my results.

Dollhouse Breads!

Being a grain lover, I find myself eating a lot of bread. Fresh baked bread is way too delicious. I made a series of my favorite breads in miniature form for dollhouses and food crafts. Each bread is hand-sculpted piece by piece from polymer clay.
Whole wheat baguette.
Sourdough Bagette
French White Boule

I offer several other Artisan breads here

P.S... Don't forget the butter.

Miniature Bacon for Dollhouse Crafts

Dollhouse bacon strips.

Fun little applewood smoked bacon stripes. These polymer clay bacon slices are perfect for miniatures, Barbie food and any thing else that needs a hint of breakfast meat. Each strip of bacon is an individual with it's own twist and curls. The slices measure about 0.60" long by 0.10" wide and are 0.5 mm thick and are handmade.

I still can't believe how tiny these are and I made them myself!
